Praia de Ouro Sul is situated in southern Mozambique, approximately 30
minutes drive from the Kosi Bay border post between KwaZulu-Natal and
Mozambique. The resort is situated less than 500 km north of Durban, and
approximately 710 km from Johannesburg, South Africa. The estate borders the
South African border, and is five minutes drive from the coastal village
Ponta do Ouro, one of three key diving spots in southern Mozambique.
The permanent tents accommodate four people in an open area.
Campismo Ninho (Nest Campsite) is situated at the subtropical Southern
tip of Mozambique, approximately 17kms from the South African border.
Campismo Ninho is the “newest addition” to the area & at present, we
have the following to offer:
Shaded / secluded campsites in natural setting,
Pub (with DSTV) and small beer garden,
Access to the beach (although steep …. it is an enjoyable walk),
Most spectacular seaviews,
Spotless and spacious Ablution Blocks,
Borehole water (drinkable),
Electricity (minimal supply at present [5 amps]). Only 1
deepfreeze & lights allowed. NO APPLIANCES WITH ELEMENTS ALLOWED!,
Firewood, ice and "pao" (Mozambique breadrolls) can be ordered at the
campsite,
“Signal Hill” directly behind us … for Vodacom & MTN cellphone
coverage &
Border Pickup/Drop-off facility
The main feature of
Cafe Del Mar is the amazing ocean view. Built on a wooden deck, and
overlooking the whole of Ponta do Ouro, this place has a rare chilled out
African vibe that most people crave for on a weekend getaway.
Except for the great
food, we also have a cocktail bar with the real spicy tropical vibe and
the latest chill-out tunes from Europe.
Cafe Del Mar has twelve island-style, reeded chalet's, which can sleep
up to 24 people in total.
Brittlestar Guest House is situated in the
Village. We have excellent accommodation both in the form of a guest house or
a self-catering house.
All rooms are equipped with fans and some others
with air-conditioning as well. We also have a DSTV available for
sporting and other viewing.
