HIKING AND MOUNTAIN BIKING

Doornkop's rich heritage of natural assets are best explored on foot and mountain bike.

One can take short walks, moderate rambles or challenging hikes on the 4000ha conservancy. Each outing will offer up a gem of nature.

In addition to hiking Doornkop itself, the following overnight trails are available on adjoining farms:

1. Kranskloof Hiking Trail, a 2 day trail with overnight facilities. Accommodates about 24 people.
2. Suikerboschfontein Hiking Trail, a 2 day trail equipped with two overnight facilities

Doornkop can also be explored on mountain bikes which are available for hire from the main complex.
