Ou Satine Bush and Game Lodge - Mozambique
The site is located on one of the largest natural lakes in Southern Mozambique. Located on the southern embankment of Lake Ou Satine on the outskirts of the town of Zitundo, this 100-hectare property combines an eclectic blend of natural sub-tropical African bush with a freshwater catchment area that teems with life. The lake is host to hippopotamus, crocodile, 30 species of birdlife and apparently tigerfish, that rare and elusive catch. The property extends in undulating grassy plains from the waterline approximately 4 kms southwards to border on the main road from Maputo to Ponta D' Ouro.
This section of the property has been earmarked for the inclusion of small game such as impala, gemsbok, springbok etc. The site is only 1.5 kms from the ocean, which allows guests to enjoy a diversified holiday or outing. The brief for the project is to develop a lakeside lodge that is raised up and over the waterline. Guests would enjoy lake cruises, African sunsets on the lake, game drives & viewing plus scuba diving and watersports in the ocean. The lodge would include a central entertainment area linked to the raised accommodation villas, swimming pool, conference centre and restaurant and bar. |
