Ponta Techobanine is a site situated 22 kms from the South African border, 5kms from Ponta Malongane and 10kms from Ponta D' Ouro. The site is on one of the most deserted and unspoilt stretches of coastline in Southern Mozambique and offers potential developers the opportunity of exploring a location that is unprecedented in beauty, splendour and natural aesthetics. The site is 15 hectares in size and extends from the beachfront inland over a fronting dune, densely covered flatland and a magnificent hill. The coral reefs in front of the site are world-renowned and considered to be some of the best in Southern Mozambique.
The coral reefs and beaches of Ponta Techobanine and the close proximity of the magnificent wildlife estate at Ndumu-Tembe-Futhi and in the Maputo Elephant Reserve and the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park World Heritage Site, combine to give this region enormous potential as a tourism destination. Located directly on the beach with a backdrop of an elevated vegetation covered dune, the site offers a perfect setting for a luxury beach lodge. The brief is to develop an upmarket complex that will boast luxury wooden log syndicated houses raised on stilts, more moderate log cabins, a small exclusive camping site and a dedicated entertainment area with pool, lapa and bar & restaurant. |
