Ownership options

Verlorenkloof Estate has made provision for Outright Ownership, Syndication and the acquisition of selected weeks in preferred seasons (Timeshare). In all cases ownership is in perpetuity and is fully transferable. Ownership can be in the name of an individual/individuals, a Company, C.C or Trust. The Shareblock Company is bond free, which means that investments are financially secure. Prices are available on application. For the timeshare option the preferred times of the year and croft size (3 or 5 bedroom) must be specified.

Never lose unused time.

Verlorenkloof Estate is an R.C.I. Resort of International Distinction with a superb allocation of trading points. The R.I.D. accolade is awarded by R.C.I. on the basis of guest comment card feedback and is therefore testimony to the exceptional holiday experience offered at Verlorenkloof Estate. In typical trout syndications unused time is simply lost if the syndicate member cannot get to use his/her allocated use periods. At Verlorenkloof, however, owners never lose the use of unusable time. They simply bank any unusable weeks into R.C.I and save them for use at another time and destination either locally or internationally. Because of the ever-weakening Rand, the international exchange facility will, if used, deliver a significant tax free return on an investment in ownership at Verlorenkloof Estate.

Syndication - with a big difference!

Syndications are only available in five bedroom crofts. Syndications are based on 13 members each owning 4 weeks per annum in perpetuity. This gives each member the use of a week in each season of the year. In terms of use, all syndicate weeks are pooled. Each syndicate member submits his/her preferred dates (first, second and third choices) for each of the four seasons to the syndicate secretary who makes the allocations accordingly. If a member cannot get to use any allocated period/s he/she does not lose the use of them (as is the case in the majority of syndicates). The member can either request an internal exchange via the syndicate secretary or spacebank the time with R.C.I. or rent it out.


Selected weeks in Preferred Seasons (timeshare).
If you have a preferred season for fly-fishing or can only get away in a specific window of time such as a school holiday then this is the best option for you since it guarantees you the times of your choice for visiting Verlorenkloof. This ownership option is available in both the 3 bedroom and 5 bedroom crofts. This is one of the most convenient and affordable forms of ownership at Verlorenkloof Estate. Ownership is in perpetuity and is fully transferable. If, for some reason, you can't get to use your own time at Verlorenkloof you can request an internal exchange, swap out via R.C.I. or rent your week out. The price of weeks is determined by the size of the crofts (3 or 5 bedrooms) and the actual week in the year depending on whether it falls into peak, high or mid season. Peak season equates to the Gauteng school holidays. High season times are the shoulder weeks to peak and the Independent school holidays. The rest of the year is mid-season. Prices vary accordingly.

Service Fees (levy)
All owners pay a service fee once per annum per week owned. This works out to approx R25 per person per day assuming full occupancy of the croft. It covers everything from the on-site management, electricity and water to domestic servicing (twice daily) and future refurbishment. In other words everything. These service fees fall within industry norms for a development of this standard and adjustments are approved at the shareholders AGM each year.

Payment.

A deposit amounting to 30% of the purchase price secures ownership. The balance can be paid off interest free over 6 months or financed up to 60 months.
